French Quarter Restaurant
New Orleans

After the closure of the legendary restaurant K-Pauls’ restaurant in 2020, this iconic location was poised for new life. The project was to convert the former restaurant into a new one focusing more on breakfast and baking. A new opening between the first and second floors opened up the space to create a more welcoming atmosphere. Combining several different kitchen spaces offered more seating and more efficient food preparation.

While the current renovation dated only to the mid-1990s, the character of the space was to retain its Vieux Carre feel and warmth. The project was abandoned due to financing challenges and is now being converted into additional space for the Historic New Orleans Collection. Wink Architecture worked collaboratively with interior designer FAM Design of Denver Colorado.
